Privacy Policy for LTAM Service

LTAM is committed to protect the User's privacy while using the LTAM Service. Please read the following Privacy Policy to understand how the User's personal information will be treated as the User makes use of LTAM's many offerings. This Privacy Policy may change from time to time so please check back periodically.

1 - What information is collected from the user?

LTAM collects information in several ways from the different tools and applications of the LTAM Service. LTAM will ask for "User Information" which includes but is not limited to the User's name, email address, birth date, gender, postcode, occupation, industry and personal interests.

The more information the User volunteers (and the more accurate it is), the better LTAM will be able to customize the User's experience. Once the User registers, the User is no longer anonymous to LTAM - the User is given a LTAM User Name and is able to take full advantage of the many LTAM Services.

LTAM may also ask the User for personal information at other times, including (but not limited to) when the User enters a contest or promotion sponsored by LTAM and/or LTAM's partners; when the User makes a purchase; when the User posts a LTAM Classified Ad; when the User contributes to the LTAM Directory Listing; when the User submits a listing for a web site; and when the User reports a problem with one of LTAM Services. LTAM also occasionally asks Users to complete surveys for research purposes.

LTAM is made up of many sites, and new ones are added all the time. At this time, the LTAM Privacy Policy applies to those sites which display this statement in conjunction with the privacy notice on the site's Web pages. While LTAM encourages other sites on the LTAM platform to comply with these principles, Users should carefully examine the privacy statements of sites appearing on or linking to or from LTAM which do not display this statement. The personal information that the User chooses to provide in other sites will be subject to the privacy policies of those sites.

Wherever User Information is collected, LTAM makes an effort to include a link to this Privacy Policy on that page.

2 - How is the user information used?

LTAM's primary goal in collecting personal information is to provide the User with a more personalised and customized experience on LTAM's platform. This includes personalization and customised services, interactive communications, individual applications, online shopping and many other types of services.

Also, in order to be able to provide the most competitive charges, LTAM displays or transmits targeted advertisements by way of the Service, in accordance with the User preferences indicated by the User at the time of registration. Such User preferences can be changed at any time by the User.

In addition, LTAM does research on Users' demographics, interests, and behavior based on the information provided upon registration, during a promotion, from LTAM's server log files or from surveys, in order to better understand and serve Users. Such research data may be shared with advertisers or business partners.

3 - Who uses user information?

LTAM stores the User Information in a secure operating environment that is not available to the public. The User is only sharing information with LTAM, unless it is specifically stated otherwise. If it is necessary for LTAM to share the User information with other business partners and sponsors to provide certain co-branded services to the User, then the User will be given prior notification, so that the User is given an option not to allow the sharing of the user information if so required.

Please be aware that the web sites on the LTAM platform may collect personally identifiable information about the User. The information practices of the web sites linked to LTAM are not covered by this Privacy Policy.

4 - Does LTAM share the user information?

As a general rule, LTAM will not share or disclose any of the User Information except when LTAM has the User's permission or under special circumstances, such as when LTAM believes in good faith that the law requires it or under certain circumstances as described in the Terms of Service Agreements (TOS).

Another situation where the User Information may be shared is when the User makes a purchase from a web page hosted by LTAM, the information obtained during the User's visit to the web pages, and the information the User gives such as the User's credit card number and contact information, is provided to the merchants/sellers. Such merchants/sellers have separate privacy and information collection practices. LTAM has no responsibility or liability for these independent policies.

Under confidentiality agreements, LTAM may need to match User Information with third party information. For such purposes, LTAM may disclose aggregated user statistics in order to describe LTAM Services to current and prospective partners, advertisers, and other third parties, and for other lawful purposes.

LTAM may also disclose account information in special cases when there is reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against Users who may be violating LTAM's TOS or may be causing injury to or interference with LTAM's rights or property. In such cases LTAM may disclose or access User Information when it is believed in good faith that the law requires it and for administrative and other purposes that LTAM deems necessary to maintain, service, and improve LTAM Services.

5 - User can restrict the user information that is collected, used, and distributed

On some types of LTAM promotions, the User's email address will be asked in order to update the User on the User's score, entries, and status in prize drawings. Occasionally these promotion-related email messages may include targeted advertisements. When the User participates in these types of promotions, the User automatically receive promotion-related email, unless the User chooses the no-email option that some promotions offer.

LTAM may, from time to time, send the User email regarding LTAM Services. In addition, if the User indicates upon registration that the User is interested in receiving offers or information about certain areas and matters, occasionally User will receive direct mail about products and services that may be of interest to the User. Only LTAM (or agents working on behalf of LTAM and under confidentiality agreements) will send the User these direct mailings and only if the User indicates that the User does not object to these offers. If the User does not want to receive such mailings, simply inform LTAM when the User gives the User Information.

The User also has choices with respect to cookies. By modifying the User browser preferences, the User has the choice whether to accept all cookies, to be notified when a cookie is set, or to reject all cookies. If the User chooses to reject all cookies the User will be unable to use those LTAM Services that require registration in order to participate.

LTAM does not sell or rent User information to anyone. The User will be notified at the time of information collection or transfer if the User Information will be shared with a third party and the User will always have the option of not permitting the transfer. If the User does not wish to allow the User Information to be shared, the User can choose not to use a particular service or not to participate in certain promotions or contests.

Please keep in mind that whenever the User voluntarily discloses User Information online - for example on message boards, through email, or in chat areas - that information can be collected and used by others. In short, if the User posts personal information online that is accessible to the public, the User may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return. Ultimately, the User is solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of the User's User Name and Password and/or any account information.

6 - User is allowed to update, correct, or delete user information

The User may edit the User information at any time by using the User Name and Password. The User Account can also be deleted or deactivated, but doing so will result in not being able to access any subscribers-only area of the LTAM platform, including the User LTAM Mail account (if the User has one). However, residual information will remain within LTAM's archive records.

7 - LTAM protect the loss, misuse, or alteration of the information

The User Information and User Profile are password-protected so that only the User has access to this personal information. We recommend that the User does not divulge the UserName and Password to anyone. LTAM will never ask the User for the User's password in an unsolicited phone call or in an unsolicited email. Always remember to sign out of the User Account and close the User browser window to ensure that others cannot access the User's personal information and correspondence if the User shares a computer with someone else or is using a computer in a public place like a library or Internet café.

LTAM uses this research to understand how the Users' habits are similar or different from one another so that LTAM can make each new experience on the LTAM platform a better one.

Track the User's progress and number of entries in some of LTAM's promotions, sweepstakes and contests. When a LTAM-hosted promotion uses cookies, the information written to the cookie indicates the player's progress through the promotion, and may be used to track entries, submissions, and status in prize drawings.

Assist merchants in LTAM to track visits to and business at their stores, and to process the items in the User's shopping basket. The information collected by cookies are sometimes called "clickstream" or "click trail" and may also describe which pages the User has seen in each merchant's store.

We use cookies to deliver content specific to your interests and to save your password so you don't have to re-enter it each time you visit our site.

LTAM may also use this information to better personalize the content, banners, and promotions that the User will see on the LTAM platform. Advertising networks that serve ads onto LTAM may also use their own cookies. LTAM also collects IP addresses for system administration and to report aggregate information to LTAM's advertisers.
