SENIORS: USA claims three titles at World Team Championships


American teams were the big winners at the Seniors World Team Championships in La Baule and Pornichet, France on 8-13 June.

USA avenged its defeat to France in last year's Maria Esther Bueno Cup final by beating the hosts to the women’s 50 title this year - and also won the Alice Marble Cup and the Austria Cup titles.

Many of the winning teams will be back in action at the Seniors World Individual Championships, taking place at the same venue this week on 14-21 June.

FED CUP: New Heart Award launched

The ITF has launched a new Fed Cup Heart Award for the World Group and World Group II play-offs, with Victoria Azarenka unveiled today as the first of four nominees in the running for the accolade.

DAVIS CUP: Doubles trouble for France?

France captain Arnaud Clement has lost doubles specialist Julien Benneteau for the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas quarterfinal against Great Britain on 17-19 July after the Frenchman had surgery on 9 June.

WHEELCHAIR: Egberink, Buis and Sithole lift ITF 1 titles in Daegu

Tom Egberink and Marjolein Buis secured a Dutch double in the men’s and women’s singles at the Daegu Open, while Lucas Sithole made it back-to-back quad singles titles in Korea.

COACHING: ITF/OS Coaches visit Sound Tennis Academy

Participants on the ITF/OS coaching course visited the Blind Tennis Program in Valencia on 9 June, with the chance to learn about the history of blind tennis and future plans for the sport.

SENIORS: Final results - Seniors World Team Championships

The final results from the 2015 Seniors World Team Championships, which took place in La Baule and Pornichet, France on 8-13 June, are available here.

TECHNICAL: California Sports Surfaces awarded first Two-Star ITF Recognised courts in the USA

Three outdoor acrylic courts in Florida, USA have been awarded Two-Star ITF Recognition, while a further two courts at Palm Beach Atlantic University were tested and gained Two-Star ITF Recognition - an acknowledgement of high-quality installation.
