Why Hide Behind The Cloak of the Internet?

 

KUALA LUMPUR, May 20, 2012– It has been quite some time since I last wrote this column. I must say this column is not only meant to share with our readers of LTAM’s plans but also to provide our side of the story, given the fact that we are seldom being granted the right of reply in the mainstream media.

Our detractors seem to thrive on other people’s modesty and civility. I was wrong to think these “sick people” have repented. Recently there has been another spate of e-mails but from a different person purported to be from somebody by the name of BS Sidhu.

 


WJTC Boys & Girls in Kuching Sarawak

 

15 countries along with Malaysia competed in the ITF World Junior Tennis Competition (14U) Asia/Oceania Final Qualifying Event (Boys) in Kuching from 30 April to 6 May, 2012.
 
The other countries taking part were: Australia, China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Kazakhstan, South Korea, New Zealand, Philippines, Syria, Thailand and Uzbekistan.
 
The purpose of this tournament was to select four teams for the World Finals in the Czech Republic in August 2012.

 


BNP Paribas Davis Cup Asean/Oceania Group III, Tehran, Iran

The BNP Paribas Davis Cup Asia Oceania Group 3 was held in Tehran, Iran from 24 – 29 April, 2012.

Eight Nations namely, Vietnam, Kuwait, Syria, Oman, Bangladesh, Malaysia and host Nation, Iran   took part. The Malaysian Davis Cup team comprises of Ariez Elyaas, Assri Merzuki who joined them from Florida. Veteran Si Yew Ming and making his debut was Syed Agil. Deen Heshaam was the Non playing Captain.

The team arrived two days earlier in Tehran, to adapt to the local condition and at the same time adjusting playing from hard surface to clay. They found no difficulty in adjusting as the majority of them had experience during their stint in Barcelona.
